Catalogue note
Collation: [4], 216 pp., with 48 engraved plates, complete as called for. Contemporary calf, gilt-tooled spine in six compartments. A good honest copy in an unsophisticated binding, which in this department counts for a great deal more than a bright rebacking.

Some foxing throughout, heavier at the preliminaries and the final gathering. Two plates with short marginal tears, neither affecting the image. A damp stain to the lower outer corner of gatherings K to N. Binding rubbed at the extremities, the joints tender but holding, the head of the spine chipped. Complete.
