Catalogue note
Three chargers of related but not matching manufacture, offered together as they were collected. The largest is the earliest and the most freely painted; the smallest has an old rivet repair across the rim, visible and unconcealed.

The largest with typical glaze flaking to the rim, roughly 15 per cent of the circumference. The second with a hairline crack of 3 in. running from the rim, stable. The third broken and riveted in two places, an old and honest repair of a kind now rarely seen. Sold as found and not subject to return.
