Catalogue note
A serviceable and well-figured chest of the usual form, the top of one board with a good faded colour. The handles are original to the piece — the underside of the drawer fronts shows no evidence of an earlier set — which is less common than the trade generally implies.

A shrinkage split of 6 in. to the top, stable and old. Bracket feet original, one with a repair at the rear. Drawer linings sound and running well. Old wax surface with the expected marks of use.
